continued...
Hey, so I'm in schooool now! Today is Road Run day and also Friday the Thirteenth. But Black Friday don't bother me, because everything bad already happened to me yesterday. Why so? BECAUSE I CUT MY HAIR. And it's not some trimming session. I CUT A FRINGE. Yeah. And the worst part, is that it's pretty poorly cut. Plus, my hair's not used to being shoulder-ish length, so the ponytail looks pretty um, ugly. My haircut IN FACT makes me feel ugly-ish. I mean yeah, so everyone says I look okay, I look fine, (some also say I look younger) BUT I still feel awkward with it.
And no thanks to the fact that my fringe has this uncanny habit of dropping into my face when I look down (and thus falling into my food -
SO necessary) and messing up when I turn my head around. Boy, I sure am not used to this whole "new" look :/ I hope it starts to shape with my head soon, cos if not, can you imagine the torture I'll be putting myself into. Plus, not forgetting my poor poor friends who would have to hear my constant whining about how ugly I am. Aw.
Blooooop! Oh wait, lemme continue my "Thursday the 12th" story. SO anyway, the haircut was too long because some other woman came in & they had to go do her make-up first (the hairdresser was like running a one-[wo]man show. She cuts hair, does make-up, ties hair) because she was rushing off. -_- And can you imagine how I had to rush, cos I had dance after, thanks to the fact that the haircut took a grand total of one hour & 40 minutes (it's practically as long as going to a hair-dressing school -_-)
Anyway, at first, my fringe looked fine. However, I noticed that there were these few strands that were poking my eyelids uncomfortably, so I asked her to trim it a wee bit. And
SNIP! suddenly it's preeetty short and MY FRINGE LOOKS SO UGLY. OH MAN. I would've drawn this whole ordeal out, but then I dunno how to draw my current fringe. It's just one messed up haircut. AGAIN. Why is it that I can NEVER EVER EVER have a pretty/nice-looking hairstyle :( It's just not faaaaaair. *pouts*
So after that, I was hungry & wanted a snack before hurrying off to dance. So we were walking past this coffeeshop & I noticed a woman spreading margarine on some bread and
bing! my brain goes
"I want Kaya Bread"
Image Source Salivate at the mouth-worthy right?
Yeah so anyway, turns out, what I ordered was an entire loaf of bread (8 slices) of which it wasn't even toasted. The Kaya was green Kaya & the butter was Margarine. UGH. Yeah. I was super duper angry/annoyed/frustrated/sickened when I found out that I hadn't ordered what I wanted. It turns out that they DO have the Kaya Toast I want, but it was at the other side of the counter -.- How would I know right??!?!?!?!
Image Source Yeah. So the whole bus ride home with my mum, I was sulking. Bleh.
After that was dance, but nothing bad happened there. Everyone there was stunned by my fringe/new haircut, and they said it was "okay", but as you all know, if I think I look ugly, the final verdict is that I look ugly. Kua kua kua. AND that ends my story. Today was okay. Most people in school don't think that my new haircut looks ugly. They think I look fine/okay. Except Ash-ash. Ashley thinks that the fringe was weirdly cut. FINALLY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW I FEEL. And Angeline. She says that I got a bad haircut. Hah. Chia Li & Vivian says that after about a week or so, my haircut will look okay. I'm hoping it's sooner.
After this, will be House Dialogue & Road Run. The former, I think, (having been through 2 House Dialogues) will be boring-bearable, while the latter, I'm a wee bit afraid of. Apparently, I'm gonna be running for Delta. And like, I suck at long distance running. I mean I'm about average, but I don't really wanna drag Delta down. :/ That would suck. But anyway, no matter what, I'll be keeping a steady pace, no sudden sprints or stops, and hopefully all's well that end's well.
AAAAAAND to continue on with my draggy updates. I wonder how many people actually bother reading every word I type out HAHA. I'm so long winded maaaan. Nannyways, I'll continue, so that at least when I am like 50 or something & super old & bored, I have something interesting to do. Read through my archives. Woohoo. =.=
(From previous post)
"Feb 2-6 we had ORIENTATION! Oh my goodness. Crazy times, crazy times! I was in OG 8, a part of the Daekaron clan!! (woohoo Delta) and I'm glad I got to make many new friends. Awww (: Haha, so anyway um, hm. I dunno how to blog about this. *thinks*
Okay, so anyway, Chenyin & I were the only TA girls in our OG, we had about 50 people in our OG. Oh and everyone thought that Chenyin was an OGL. To which she wasn't happy about, cos I mean, who wants to be mistaken for an older person! (People also occasionally mistake me for J2. And it makes me feel old. And uglier. HAHA) So Orientation was the usual Amazing Race, College Games, Mass Dance at Suntec/round the Foutain of Wealth & O-night.
This year they also had this Clash of the Titans game, which I didn't get to try out, cos my OG was performing for O-night. But from what I've heard, I'm glad I didn't have to play it :D I so hate being in the sun!" Moreover, it sounded torturous. So uhhh, even though it would've been interesting to try out, I'm kinda thankful I didn't have to try it out. Anyway, this year wasn't as bad as TA1, cos we were able to eat. SO, I got to eat lunch and even dinner.
But dinner, well, it was only waffles & doughnuts. Cos I only realised that O-night started at 4.30 at 3.50, of which at 4, I had a dance meeting. Haha, crummy dinner, I know, but it sustained me (surprisingly!) till 10ish. After O-night, I went home with Angeline, and it was good to be able to talk to her! It's always nice to talk to her. :D
Counseling session + catch-up session + ultimate craziness = good stuff.
Hehe.
As usual, I've got no pictures, cos they are all in my friend's cameras & I superbly lazy to ask them for it. Haha. Kay yeah. This whole week has been lectures & free periods, so it was a good week overall.
I KNOW THIS POST IS BORING OKAY. I am working on the Priscilla post and hopefully that will be up soon. Chosing which pictures to post is ALWAYS an arduous process. Haha. Okay, House Dialogue is starting real soon & I've gotta go now. More sooooon! (Hopefully I can get some picchures of my new hairstyle so you guys can see [and laugh at me, but don't be so cruel luh!])
Toodles!♥

dancing in the moonlight
Hey guys! I'm BAAAAAAACK. Haha. (I noticed a drop in my nuffnang stats, lol, so I decided to waste time & blog -.-) Lectures have been pretty okay, but then again this is only the first week of school. :/ So yeah, I'm pretty scared of what's to come :/ I'm particularly in fear of Organic Chem & the rest of the Maths lectures. I'm scared of Organic Chem cos Jamie mentioned that Angel told her that she didn't learn stuff about Organic Chem in TA2. So uh, that means I haven't learnt it either? :( :/ And maths, well, it's maths! What else more can I say about it.
I couldn't even solve the questions in the lecture notes for GP (Geometric Progression). HOW AM I GONNA SURVIVE???!!?? After all, Daphne says J2 stuff is so much more harder than J1 stuff. I'm really worried that I'll mess up my 'A' levels. After all, I don't really know how it's like to take a national exam. Of course I just realised that what I'm saying contradicts what I'm always telling Angeline/myself, that I should trust God with my future.
It's so so so so so so hard. Plus, attending the Ivy League talk today made me feel even more worried, what with having to take SATs and all that jazz. Ugh. Although I do have to say I think thst going for the Ivy League talk felt more productive than an SC Dialogue, of which I do not participate in whatsoever nor do I take interest in many of the issues raised because I have already been in this school for 2 whole years. M-hm.
On to funner things, I have still yet to know what we're gonna be doing in computing this year & next year!!! Our first lecture was supposed to be on tuesday, but Mr Kau/Kow/Kao (???!) didn't show up and as such it became a mini-bonding-get to know others session for Annabelle & I. Tomorrow's our supposed next lecture & I do very much hope that
Mr K the teacher comes because I desperately want to know more about computing (IHOPEIDON'TFAILIT) Haha, I hope I haven't forgotten all the names of my fellow computing classmates, of which there are only 15 of us & I don't know 3 of their names. Yepp.
Okay, on to updates!!!!!!!!!!!!
Feb 1st was the first time I did ushering for the Main Service. It was okay I suppose, although I have to say it was ultra-uber awkward/embarrassing when Matthew & I (both "freshies" to ushering for Main Serive) went up to the front to put the offering bags, cos we weren't too sure what to do there. :/ Anyways, now that we do know, the next time that we do it in April, it shouldn't be so bad!!
Feb 2-6 we had ORIENTATION! Oh my goodness. Crazy times, crazy times! I was in OG 8, a part of the Daekaron clan!! (woohoo Delta) and I'm glad I got to make many new friends. Awww (: Haha, so anyway um, hm. I dunno how to blog about this. *thinks*

rain after the draught
Okay, so life has been majorly crazy. Gosh, I've missed blogging like anything! Everytime I wanna blog, it's like, I have something else to do (which actually is the case now but um yeah, my internet is not loving me the way it's supposed to, and I wanna run away from my GP newspaper analysing, so yeah, blogging is a gooood gooood excuse) or I'm too tired to actually plonk my heavy butt in front of the computer and type my words out.
Man, so many, many, many, many, many, many things have happened since I last blogged. (Oh man, I know I shouldn't be blogging now, but I've not blogged for such a long time that I seriously need to bloggggggg arrrgh) Yeaaaaah. Life was a mess of meeting friends, animating aliens, Chinese New Year, flag day, planning for the Faith Factor steamboat dinner and orientation. Haha, let's break it down. I promise I'll only talk about the important stuff kaayyy. :D
Okay, so let's finish up on animation. Truth be told, I have NOT finished my animation yet, even though the TAB trial ended 5 days ago. Although as Anna says, I can still download the programme into my desktop to finish it up, but I have yet to organise my life since I screwed it up during orientation. -_- AS USUAL. Anyway, so we has this group project to do. Anna & I were stuck with Justin, but I have to say that he's not half bad. I mean after all, he did do work y'know. He did put in some effort, so that was okay. Too bad his computer crashed the day before we were supposed to hand in the animation o.o
So anyway, we created this character called Feedle (modified from a book Anna borrowed from the library) who is an alien botanist and comes to Earth. There he meets a boy (Tommy? Timmy?) who discovers his talent and wants Feedle to revive this dead sunflower that he has. In trying to do so, Feedle causes an explosion and ends up having to run away from the mess he created. Silly I know, but cute nontheless ;D
Yepp. So actually, I've finished everything except the last bit where Feedle is supposed to run to his spaceship. In a perspective view. But I have no idea how to draw that, SO YEAH. Okay, I just realised that I am talking a load of rubbish and that is probably due to the fact that I am listening to music & trying to think of how to analyse an article about The Net Emerging As a Potent Force In Campaigning. YEEEAAAHH. Haha. Anyway, bottom line is that I haven't finished my animation and our group basically has no hope of finishing it. Uh-huh.
Yeah, we also have to hand up our WOW (Wonder, Observe, Weave) File soon & that '
soon' is still a great part of the vague near future which I DO NOT WANT TO VISIT. Ugh. STRESSUGHSTRESS. I am stupid you know. SERIOUSLY STUPID. (See? Nobody believes me except Annabelle-for the most part anyway) Why do I leave things that can be done earlier to the last minute ALL THE TIME. OH MY GOODNESS. GRRRAAHHHRRAAHH. As this kind poster in my school nicely puts it
"Hard work is the easy work not done on time" or something like that (Haha, must go find it then take a picture of it then post on my blog for future reference) Pfft
Nannyway, to skip ahead, 24th Jan I went out to meet Beiyi & Nicole for our super delayed BAN meeting. Haha. It was like, to celebrate our 3 birthdays (see? long overdue) Unfortunately, I was late. I didn't mean for myself to be late, it's just that um, *desparately tries to recall* I think I wasn't able to drag myself out of bed. Whoops. OH WAIT NOW I REMEMBER. I fell asleep the night before without packing my bag, so that delayed me. Together with the abovementioned fact. Heh. Yeah, so we went to Botanic Gardens for a, heh, photoshoot.
YAH LAH. I KNOW LAH. SO UGLY STILL WANT TO GO FOR PHOTOSHOOT FOR WHAT RIGHT. SHEESH.
Firstly, it was Beiyi & Nicole's idea, like y'know, part of my birthday present. Secondly, I know I will never be a model, so this will be one of the infinitely small chances that I will be able to do something like this. Thirdly, uhh, thirdly... (pretend I never mentioned thirdly okay. My brain is too useless now to think of sensible arguments y'know. PLUS I've never had 3 points before in any of my Lang Arts essays, so this is the norm you know. 2 points when I write an essay haha) (I TOLD YOU. TALKING. ABSOLUTE. RUBBISH.)
ANYWAY. So on that day, I rushed down to Eunos (late like anything oh man). Saw a brief glimpse of Zhi Hong before I went to buy breakfast, but I didn't say 'Hi!' to him cos he disappeared so quickly before I could decide whether to say Hi or not to. Breakfast for me was the usual for when I rush out of the house to Eunos sans breakfast - Mushroom Bun from Q-bread. The cheapest bun (I think) + Nice filling (Mushrooms!) + Filling to the stomach = Good Buy! :) I love being a cheap skate man. (Not all the time though, although lately I have been spending a criminal amount of money on food! Yeesh. Can you imagine? $4 for a meal. TSK ANGELINE. How are you supposed to save money this year???!!!??!!)
Uh-huh. SO by the time I reached, Beiyi & Nicole had already explored the Dhoby Ghaut area & taken pictures there. So cool luh. Too bad I wasn't there earlier or I would've been able to visit there!
Beiyi's photostream on Flickr! Go check it out! Beiyi's so talented at taking picturez man! ;) Yepp. We took a bus to Botanic Gardens, which had quite a lot of people by the time we went, but it was okay, not so bad. We still got a lot of pictures without much inteference from other people! The original theme was supposed to be "Naughty or Nice" but we ended up with just Nice because I came late & there wasn't enough time to change. (NB: Nice was supposed to be like y'know nice girl sorta thing, Naughty was supposed to be like punk rocker girl sorta thing - but anyway, I don't really have such a wardrobe for that, so oh weell)
Okay, so here are some of the many, many, many pictures that we took.

FAVOURITEST PICTURE TAKEN!

Cool huh? (Too bad my pose wasn't that nice)

The above were taken by Beiyi & can be found on Beiyi's photostream. She's got a truckload more & has yet to edit all. ;D These here are taken by Nicole. She too had a truckload of pictures - more than 150 (of which she put all into out sharing folder! Took quite some time to synchronise, but I'm glad it has [: ) Okay, so here goes. I'M SORRY IF YOU THINK MY FACE IS TOO UGLY. I REALLY DON'T MEAN TO HAVE SO MUCH OF MY FACE HERE.

Okay, I promise, last few. Last few.

^Self-explanatory

Beiyi at work! (1)

Beiyi & I!
(Pictures of Nicole are in Beiyi's camera!)
M-hm. Haha, I think I posted too many pictures of my self. DARN. I'm sorry if any of you here suffered Severe Eye Damage from seeing my pictures kaaaay. So yeah. Distracted enough? Haha. No, okay, not funny. Anyway, I wasn't wearing any make-up for the photoshoot because I forgot to bring make-up remover. HAHAHAHA. So smart right? Anyway, it makes the pictures more natural. :D
Okay, anyway, after that was Chinese New Year. That was okay. I had to rush to buy my new year clothes (which I did on the Friday before I met Beiyi & Nicole WHICH was the reason I was so exhausted & went to sleep without packing my bag) Yepp. I wore this dark purple Miss Selfridge top which was pretty! Plus it had all these extra cloth dangling around, which was able to hide my fats if I got too fat/bloated! My pants were from Esprit & I kinda regretted buying that colour, because white looked a million times nicer with the top than the grey-ish black colour that I bought. Hopefully, I can find a top that can pair well with those new pants. :/
No pictures from New Year, cos it's usually quite the boring affair for my family! Haha, CNY lunch then mahjong mahjong mahjong. Of which I don't take part in the latter because I have no idea how to play mahjong! So I made a vain attempt at doing work. Emphasis on VAIN ATTEMPT, because I barely did anything.
M-hm. The rest of that week was spent planning for the ff steamboat dinner with Angeline, Pastor Kuo Yung and Des & going for dance. The former AND latter weren't easy. But of course, I prefer planning to dancing because dancing with Zaki is SO STRESSFUL! :/ Plus, I get to spend time on the phone with Angeline, who together with Tate & Yuan Song are in TJ with me! Yay, but I feel sad for Angeline & Tate, cos afterall, TJ is not their first choice. (not sure bout Yuan Song though)
31st Jan was quite an eventful day. The morning was spent meaningfully, by doing CIP - flag day - for the Student Advisory Council, a part of the NCSS (which I assume stands for National Council of Social Services? :/) I love doing flag day! [and the library, but that's a different issue] It's so enjoyable/fun, even though you have to stand under the sun :( But yeah, it's for a good cause okay, so I don't mind risking my skin for that! (Anyway, I was able to put sunblock, so it wasn't so bad) Also, flag day was at Parkway, so near home! So I could walk back after that :D
So anyway, it was quite an interesting experience. Of course you get the people who want "protection", and just dump in some coins, but then there are also those that are genuinely interested in hearing what you've to say about the charity & put in more meaningful amounts. One guy. He was. So generous. He put. In. 50. dollars. YES. 50 dollars. A fifty dollar note. I was like ":O Oh wow, thank you so much! :O :O Um, :O have a nice day! :O :O" :O stands for jaw dropping. I was so stunned I had to recheck the bag a few times.
I didn't think people would put in fifty dollars for flag day! The most is usually 10 dollars & that's pretty good already! This guy must really want to help "needy students have money for mealtimes" (what I said to almost everyone except the times when my brain blanked out suddenly and I fumbled through my speech. Haha, I'm so retarded right?!) Yeah, so this was and is defintely gonna be one of the most unique flag day experiences for me! I can't wait to do flag day again (if there's a chance) I seriously enjoy it, even though you do have to endure a LOT of rejection.
OH & some stuff I noticed. Most parents with small kids will donate, because the kids usually want the sticker. There are of course, the odd few kids that are too shy/scared/couldn't be bothered to take the sticker. HAHA. Oh & I feel sad for the kids of the few parents who don't donate, because the kid would stare at me & my stickers longingly. Poor things! Yeah and like every single caucasian I approached refused to donate. Haha. Okay. I can't think of anything else.
In the afternoon, Angeline & I met Pastor Kuo Yung in church before we headed to Sheng Soing at Paya Lebar - my first time there! And it was totally what Angeline said it would be. When you first enter, it's got this horribly strong fishy smell that's almost intolerable. Anyway, at the frozen foods section, it IS indeed like a wet market. The floor has that wet/blackish look that is characteristic of wet markets. *shivers* Yeaaah, but anyway, when you get closer to the "dry" area, it's not so bad. In fact, at the paper plates/cups section, the smell is completely gone, so it wasn't so bad :)
Anyway, we went to Sheng Siong to top up our ingredients for the steamboat. 3 parents were donating some food, but we were scared that it wasn't enough, so we had to make the trip there. Anyway, after that, we went back to church to set up & get ready. Some of the groups, who must've finished their visting early, came early. They were a help and yet at the same time were a bit stressful. It wasn't that bad luh, afterall, they helped us lay out the ingredients & stuff. :) Dinner was great! Really tasty stuff! And it was a new exprience for me, to have steamboat with people other than my family! :) HAHA, also Amanda's table started barbequing their stuff, so that was funny to see. ;D
Oh my goodness, it's so late now! I'll try to continue the rest of my updates ASAP! This week we have (what I call) introductory lectures. It's good for us, okay for me anyway, cos it'll help me to re-orientate myself back into school mode. :/ I hope that when the new timetables come out, my timetable won't be so messed up. :| Yeah. So anyway, this week I only have 9 lectures, so that's pretty okay. I'll try to update okaaaayyyyy. Although, ahaha I have no pictures from Orientation. kua kua kua.
Okay okay, I need to go back to doing work!!! ARrrrrgh! :( [I got pictures from Pris! Long picture post coming out soon wahahahaha]
♥ Night!
