the party
ok, so the last time i blogged, the post was just simply so disjointed, the word disjointed could barely even start describing it. but i'll try not to be so disjointed this time.
so tuesday was desiree's birthday. arrived late thanks to my nails, when i should have been early. y'know, we DO live in the same street. the party started off pretty sluggishly, due to the absence of a lot of people. gradually, the house started to fill up & dinner was served. lots of food & i ate almost everything. ALMOST. didnt have some pizzas. i ACTUALLY tried sushi. was kinda, er, cold. but, i think that's gonna be the first & last time i try sushi. i mean, NO OFFENCE, but im just not a sushi kinda girl.
after dinner, zipped home to upload melissa's cds & played a bit of neopets. good thing i did my dailies & collected my halloween treat bags, cuz if i hadnt, see below. came back & ate more sausages. i really regret doing that, cos they were really quite hard. but they WERE THE easiest things to eat, so i ate them. after that, people started putting blood on their faces. i didnt want to try. but i did put eyeliner on, something i'd wanted to do at home, but i couldnt find the black eyeliner i wanted, so i didnt put it on.
anyway, while some played bridge, others sang improv songs. (i know there's some parts that dont link well/are correct, but yeah, my memory's not the best) i was at the bridge section, watching in amazement, cos i was feeling stupid. dawn really tried explaining to me, but i didnt get the partner & the er, bidding part. the rest i semi-understood. X-X after the cake & some more bridge games, i kinda got bored and wandered upstairs, looking for rachel.
and hurrah to her. we watched tv till a lot of people left (i couldnt see a clock anywhere). then we went down. i helped shaun with the scrabble. then, i was asked to join, since it wasnt fair to the other players. rachel joined in too. we played 3 rounds. it was just WAY fun. hadnt done that in ages. but i really enjoyed the usage of brain cells. scrabble was fuuuun.
then, it was opening presents time. desiree & ben got loads of cool stuff. :) then, after they admired the prezzies, ben suggested watching a movie. so, cheryl insisted following me back to my house to get the sleeping bags, cos she claimed it was too dangerous. but she helped with carrying the sleeping bags back. i didnt even KNOW we had 3 sleeping bags at home. i thought that we'd just had 2. but, they all came in handy. ben brought 2 (or is it 1?) mattresses into the tv room. evan & marianne occupied them. ben had a reclining thingy. cheryl, des & i used the sleeping bags & samuel used 2 huge cushions. melissa stayed in ben's room. we watched "Just My Luck" first. helped ben with making the truffles. was seriously chocolatey. popcorn was nice & salty (i was amazed butter was THAT salty). and there was sushi (me didnt try again) & i ate 2 cupcakes. and my stomach hurt. JLM was cool & funny. at least i hadnt watched it at the cinema, even though i HAD wanted to.
anyway, after that, we watched "Rob-B-Hood". quite a silly movie. but majority of the people who stayed over had fallen asleep halfway through the movie. me? i wanted to, but i couldnt. anyway, after the movie ended, i knew i had to switch the tv off. it wouldnt be nice to have the electricity wasting away like that. so there i was in my stripy leggings & black tee wondering what to do. samuel saw me standing there like a fool, so he made way for me.
and so, after much fiddling, i switched the vcr off. samuel switched the tv off & momentarily blinded me. *blinkblink* ok, so blahblahblah. tossed & turned, with desiree almost squishing my feet into nowhere land. at least my feet arent that big. anyway, after hours of staring into space & attempting to sleep, i feel asleep for like a few minutes. then i woke up. anyway, i couldnt take it anymore. my er bo-, i had to use the toilet. so, i started planning.
first, i opened the door. i was trained to slip through small spaces, so i didnt have to open the door much. [i dont think you need to know how im trained] then, i stood up-again. after much comtemplation & motivation (from my brain), i stepped around ben & made my way down the stairs, my cup in hand. cos y'know, i'd finished drinking all the water there. blahblahblah, filled up my cup aagin & flopped around the house cos i didnt want to go up again. by then, it was the next day, ben's birthday. then samuel came down. guess what. he apparently hadnt moved the door & slipped through the same space I slipped through. anyway, rachel left for practice (AT 5.40AM) & samuel and i played some super slow motion stress.
then he woke melissa & marianne up, cos they had to go to school. and we played disney uno. no sense, since only 2 players, but heck. so, evan came down & joined us. the 2 left for school ('O' level bridging thing), with evan & sam leading the way. by then, i'd stuffed 2 burger buns in my mouth. cursed stomach of mine. i tried calling home, but apparently, there's something wrong with the Goh's cordless phone, and so, i couldnt reach home. anyway, we played Jenga: truth or dare. really really fun, but with my stomach, i had to do the Can-Can twice. OH WHY DID I PULL THAT BLOCK TWICE? anyway, the third time round i flatly refused to pull red (dare) blocks. oh & i also pulled the "name a nightmare date for each player" twice. >.<>
SO, i was planning to drag myself home. which would suck, condsidering that my stomach really hurt. someone (cant rmbr) suggested taking the bike. but i couldnt do that. suddenly, i looked at the seat behind. hey, it didnt seem so small... so, guess what? i took it. gosh, what a sight it was. anyway, we got to my house & i grabbed my yoghurt (m-mmm). samuel changed his bandages & took a curry-flavour cup noodles. and we went back to ben's house, the same way we came. hurhur. Xd
anyway, we went up to the tv room & watched tv. we watched some bbc. my gosh, total funnyness. my favourite part was the girl singing Pink's "get the party started". funny funny funny. i just LOOOOOVE british humour. anyway, we started on Barnyard, but time was not on our hands, and we had to go home. cos ben had to go off at 11am.
anyway, went home & i REALLY REALLY wanted to blog about the 2 days, but my brain thought otherwise. so, i ended up sleeping. from 11am - 4.15pm. ok, so i was woken up at 3 by my mum, but since it wasnt time to get that halloween sidebar, i promptly fell back to sleep. and when i woke at 4.15 i was like "SHIT."
I'D WAITED THE ENTIRE YEAR TO GET THAT SUPIDLY QUITE NICE SIDEBAR & ID TOTALLY SLEPT THROUGH THE TIME TO GET IT. AS IN, WTH. OMG, YOU WONT BELIEVE HOW PISSED OFF AT MYSELF I WAS. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER FREAKING YEAR JUST TO GET THAT IDIOT SIDEBAR.
ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH.
great. anyway the rest of the day i was fuming with myself, but i did soften a bit when i remembered that i'd at least got my goody bags. sighsigh, happy happy. me now has quite a few meepit lamps! heeee.
thursday was boring. didnt do much. had chinese tuition. today's also been boring & normal. tomorrow's gonna be slightly fun. but yeah. cant wait for monday! *winks at you-know-who-you-are*
